On Friday Iso and I went to Portsmouth hoping to get into a Goldie Lookin Chain gig. We ganded around in the cold a lot and ate food in a dodgy kebab place. The touts were grim blokes in dirty coats who called everyone Darlin'. They wanted £40 each for tickets that were £12 on the website. They dropped to £30 each nearer 7:30 but we still declined, largely on the grounds that they were smelly, grimy men. We hired Elizabethtown and bought Ben and Jerry's and came home. We looked online and bought tickets to see Feeder supported by GLC in Brighton, so that satified our craving.
On Saturday Beck and I went to Brighton. I had a haircut by a man who looked like a scouser but wasn't. Lol. I don't know what that means but I'm not a rascist. He was short with a porn moustache and was wearing a football shirt. Anyway, no-one's said anything but I suspect he's massacred my hair. It's too short on top, not short enough at the back and consequently in about two weeks it's going to mutate into a mullet. Class. Beck insisted on buying an enormous red floor cushion which she then had to carry through town. She didn't notice, but as we came out of HSBC, she winded a man in a parka with it. Later that day we bought a new DVD player (farewell to present ASDA £30 job!) and a Set-Top box thing. Not convinced about set-top box, so far I've only found Friends on it...
We hired Somersault on Saturday night and watched it with Lucy. It was cool.
Today we met Carolyn, Neil and Molly(Carolyn's daughter) for lunch. Watching a 3 year old eat spaghetti bolognaise was more entertaining than I'd thought and about as messy too. Then we went to Tesco and Beck bought a flat screen monitor. It's cool and we tidied up the study and desk. I s all looking pretty smart actually, even if we are now all spent out. New Toys!
